Bio-Recovery & Disinfection
Crime Scene Clean-Up® is a biohazard clean up company you can trust to disinfect your home, business or automobile following a blood spill, homicide, unattended death, or hoarding situation.
A biohazard is any biological substance that poses a threat to human health. Biohazards include human or animal blood, waste or bodily fluids; human or animal remains; and medical waste, such as used bandages or needles (sharps). Biohazards can contain pathogens, such as HIV, hepatitis C, MRSA, and the H1N1 flu virus, which can spread deadly diseases.
Though biohazards may be invisible to the naked eye, they may be inhaled, ingested or absorbed through cuts in the skin. For this reason, biohazard clean up should not be attempted by anyone without personal protective gear, a full facemask respirator, and proper training in their use.
The process of bio-recovery and disinfection occurs in two steps. First, the area must be cleaned of all visible blood and biological material. Sometimes biohazards may have seeped into porous furniture or under floorboards, so these must be cut up and removed. Once the area has been completely cleaned, any non-porous surfaces within the area must be disinfected, in order to remove any remaining microscopic pathogens and eliminate odors.
At CSCU, our licensed professionals know the proper cleaners and disinfectants to use, and the correct methods for using them. They are also trained to test the scene after cleaning, to be sure that all biohazards have been eliminated.
Our technicians collect all biohazard waste from the scene into specially marked bags or containers, and follow local, state and federal regulations for removal and transport to approved biohazard disposal facilities.
Our CSCU clean up professionals will leave your home, business, or automobile 100 percent safe to live in, work in, or sell. With 20 years of experience, we know how to do the job right.
