Homicide Clean Up

Crime Scene Clean Up® provides efficient and compassionate cleanup services following a homicide in your home, car or business. We are often the second call to the scene, after law enforcement or first responders.

After the initial shock wears off, most survivor or property owners don’t know where to turn. It’s not the responsibility of law enforcement or the city to clean up after a murder or other crime. In most cases, it’s recommended to hire a professional team to help restore the property to its pre-tragedy state. CSCU can help, and we have financial assistance programs to make it feasible so you don’t have to clean it yourself.

When a homicide occurs, the area should be cleaned and sanitized professionally. Any blood or bodily fluids may contain blood-borne pathogens that can continue to spread odors and disease. For their own safety, our homicide cleanup teams follow OSHA regulations and wear full safety gear, including facemask and respirator. They are trained and experienced in using our proprietary cleaning, disinfection and deodorizing chemicals, according to a strict protocol that prevents cross-contamination.

Forensic clean up can be a complicated task. Besides blood and other body fluids, there may be damage to property, tear gas contamination, as well as fingerprint dust and other chemicals left behind by law enforcement or crime scene investigators.

Tear gas can seep into wallboard and furniture, and give off toxic fumes that cause lung damage. Luminol is chemical that investigators spray on an area to locate traces of blood. Sticky fingerprinting dust can work its way into your carpets and furniture. These substances may stain or leave a residue that’s very difficult to remove. The task of cleaning up all these potentially toxic chemicals is best left to highly trained forensic clean up technicians, who can safely and knowledgeably restore your home or office building.

Homicide clean up may seem overwhelming, but Crime Scene Clean-Up professionals are here to help! Once you contact CSCU, we respond quickly, within hours, using unmarked vehicles if requested. We will give you a written proposal and take the time to answer all of your questions. Once the remediation is complete, we will provide you a Certificate of Treatment for official documentation if needed for future home sale.
